# Iskra: The Future of Play

Official Iskra Whitepaper v.1.5.1

### Overview

Blockchain gaming is a new concept for many gamers and game studios alike. It represents a fundamental paradigm shift in how games are developed and enjoyed. Until now, the inextricable link between blockchain-based games and crypto assets has deterred many developers from entering this immature market. Some of them believed blockchain games had a long way to go to achieve any real level of popularity and were unwilling to take the risk and pioneer the technology. Contrary to their prediction, however, the market has reacted swiftly. Most notably, tech-savvy young crypto enthusiasts have quickly entered the blockchain gaming space.

Some of the earliest attempts at integrating blockchain technology into gaming, such as Axie Infinity, Mir 4, and Town Star, proved massive hits. This came as a shock to many traditional game developers who viewed the quality of these games as substandard. Many studios have been missing what sets blockchain games apart. Blockchain games are a new genre written in a very different grammar, where gamers have immutable ownership and full control over their in-game assets and trade them freely outside the game.

For most of gaming history, developers have followed a centralized model—controlling both the in-game economy and game assets collected by gamers. So it is natural for them to feel wary of the rise of blockchain gaming, already beginning to turn the tables and shape a more equitable player-centric space.

Play-to-earn gaming is the next defining moment in the evolution of gaming. Before blockchain, users could not gain tangible rewards through playing games. With the creation of NFTs and blockchain technology, users can now generate financial reward by earning various game assets which can be sold on marketplaces for cryptocurrency. Current play-to-earn gaming creates financial rewards for users but provides no fun or entertainment. We have flipped the paradigm on its head by transitioning from a “play-to-earn” mindset to a “play-and-earn” mindset which combines financial rewards with a fun gaming experience.

### **We Connect Gamers and Game studios**

Iskra is a blockchain gaming hub that brings together gamers and game studios. Our platform allows gamers to explore and enjoy quality blockchain games and create their own community. Interested users will have the opportunity to explore new game projects for the first time through our Launchpad. Users can also freely trade in-game tokens and other in-game assets minted as non-fungible tokens (NFTs) outside the game.

Game studios, for their part, can utilize various resources provided by Iskra to build games of all genres including, but not limited to, TCG, Strategy, Collectible and MMORPG. As such, we provide the full support necessary for the development and operation of blockchain games, from funding and infrastructure to a token economy and a passionate community.

We have a simple but powerful philosophy: Provide a decentralized platform based on community-led governance. As the community grows, our platform will expand and achieve a higher level of decentralization. The community is empowered to lead key decisions around the platform and ecosystem governance, including the launch of new games, fee pricing and the development of new services. Also, most of the fees collected by the platform are distributed back to the community. Under a highly sophisticated set of mid- to long-term strategies developed by Iskra, the platform is designed to ultimately achieve complete decentralization.

We consider ourselves both a Business Team and a Technical Team, each with deep blockchain and gaming expertise who bring a wide range of experience and insight. Our team members come from leading names such as LINE, Disney, Krust, ICONLOOP, Netmarble and Nexon. Our key backers include “diamond hands" like the Kakao Group(Krust, Kakao Ventures, Metabora), Netmarble and Wemade etc. In short, we are a team of veteran blockchain and gaming professionals—united by a mission to build a truly evolutionary platform for blockchain gaming that is driven by an empowered community.

### The Problems in the Existing Gaming Industry

**Problem for Gamers**\
Today, the gaming industry is a one sided market where studios produce and distribute games to the public who pay for an 'experience', in most cases a "one-and-done" transaction. There are no mechanisms for additional rewards or value for gamers who consume the game and because there is high risk to game studios in putting up significant capital to produce it, game developers and publishers end up creating highly concentrated oligopolies to protect their investments.

Play-to-earn gaming is an innovation addressing the ownership and future value problem, and has proved to be increasingly popular. But as the segment matures, growing pains reveal experiences that are reduced to a financial gain, making it feel like a areal grind, and in some sense, a “job".

**Problem for Game Developers**\
Game developers face the issue of integrating blockchain technology into their current products or future projects. The vast amounts of varying blockchains, wallets, exchanges and bridges makes it difficult to pick the best one and connect them all to one seamless platform. Game developers must also figure out how to target crypto gamers, which is a completely new target persona.

### The Iskra Solution

**Redefining game publishing** \
Our platform enables game developers to reach the Web3 community and benefit from little to no costs for distribution. The community is rewarded with tokens for engaging on the platforms.

**Best Games** \
Our game acquisition strategy focuses on development teams with a track record of game balance and successful game servicing. After that is established, we work with the studio to adapt their project into a rich token economy. We will also deploy our game alliance fund to discover, collaborate or acquire IP and game talent to make its vision a reality.

**Scalable Tokenomic Solutions**\
We provide developers a platform solution for blockchain services such as wallets, bridges, exchanges, etc., and can help develop rich token economies that make their games both enjoyable and rewarding. For existing Web3 developers, we provide an established community to scale projects quickly, while offering rich ecosystem incentives for increased engagement.

**Community Forward**

We plan to allocate up to 100% of all the platform value generated (from fees, royalties, etc.) into the Community Rewards Pool, which is then the returned to community stakeholders (players, developers, Iskra) based on their participation (running a network node, governance staking, platform activity etc.) to align interests and ensure a long-term and sustainable ecosystem.

# Iskra Platform

Our platform provides seamless end-to-end services for both gamers and game studios

### The Iskra Hub Chain

The Iskra Hub Chain is the mainnet blockchain that supports services essential to our ecosystem, from Launchpad to NFT Marketplace. It is an interoperability protocol that allows different game chains within our ecosystem to communicate with each other in a frictionless and trustless manner, serving as a hub for all assets within the ecosystem.

### Launchpad

A Launchpad is a platform that facilitates the distribution of digital assets and connects projects with early supporters in the WEB3 ecosystem, enabling them to kickstart and promote their vision.

### Decentralized Exchange(DEX)

DEX is a decentralized exchange service provided by Iskra, where you can exchange game tokens for $ISK or other tokens, and vice versa.

### NFT Marketplace

NFT Marketplace consists of two markets: (i) Primary Market, where game NFTs are initially offered by game studios, and (ii) Secondary Market, where gamers can freely trade NFT assets, such as in-game items.

### Bridge

Bridge is a bridge that connects The Iskra Hub Chain, game chains(which are side chains of Iskra) and external blockchains. Because most blockchain games run on their own chains, a secure and trustless bridge that interconnects multiple blockchains is an indispensable component of our ecosystem.

### Wallet

Wallet is a repository in which users stash their digital assets. It also enables access to all services on our platform in just one place. It is the gateway for exploring and interacting with all games and services within our ecosystem.

# Launchpad

### The Core Concepts: Initial Offering & Launchpad

Initial Offering is an event where digital assets, to be utilized within a WEB3 project, are distributed among its foundational community. Although this event may be identified by different terminologies such as ICO, IEO, IDO, and IGO, each of these terms signify the same concept: distributing digital assets to the community. As WEB3's core value lies in its decentralized community, a project cannot kickstart without the distribution of digital assets to this community. Thus, Initial Offering stands as a pivotal event that heralds the beginning of a WEB3 project.

A Launchpad is comparable to a specialized platform that manages Initial Offerings, similar to the services provided by crowdfunding platforms. The Launchpad plays a crucial role in facilitating the Initial Offering, allowing the community to acquire tokens once they understand the project's vision and blueprint. From the project's perspective, it serves as a service that alleviates the burden of extensive publicity, while from the community's perspective, it functions as a platform that discovers and promotes potential projects, making it a distinctive and valuable marketing platform for both parties involved.

### Identity Distortion: The Unfortunate Shift of Initial Offering & Launchpad

With the significant growth of the crypto market, the fundamental identity of Initial Offering has become somewhat skewed. The value of tokens distributed through Initial Offering witnessed a steep ascent, and as a result, the WEB3 community was drawn to Launchpads not due to alignment with the project's vision and plans, but simply lured by the potential returns. Consequently, projects began to focus more on selling tokens at the highest possible price. The original essence of the Initial Offering — creating an initial community through token distribution — was lost, turning it into an event primarily driven by speculative demand.

In a bullish market, this structure may not pose significant issues. Irrespective of a project's intention, tokens are disseminated to the community through the Initial Offering, allowing the project to take off with substantial resources. With favorable market conditions, the community may still glean a positive experience. However, in a bear market, this mechanism falters. Even highly promising projects can't guarantee success, and a structure that aims to sell tokens at the highest possible price can't provide a positive community experience during bearish conditions. This has led to the community growing wary of participating in Initial Offerings, which in turn has resulted in projects struggling to form their communities.

### Refocusing on the Essence

The essence of WEB3 lies in the community. An Initial Offering that fails to attract a community is pointless, and the distorted Launchpad model causing this issue needs rectification.

Iskra aims to redefine the Initial Offering and Launchpad in a way that supports the successful launch of WEB3 game projects and provides a positive experience for the Iskra community. It's time to shift our focus back to the core.

In the Iskra ecosystem, Initial Offering is not a fundraising event, but a promotional launch of game tokens. The Iskra Launchpad acts as a Kickstarter for WEB3 games, showcasing projects to supporters from the Iskra community and enabling them to provide early backing. Supporters, in turn, have the early opportunity to acquire tokens from these projects, establishing a mutually beneficial model that jumpstarts projects and offers growth opportunities for supporters.

### Pain Points of Launchpads: The Lock-Up Dilemma

In constructing the mutually beneficial structure of the Iskra Launchpad, there is a long-standing issue within Launchpad services that needs addressing. This issue is none other than the 'Lock-up Dilemma'.

In most Launchpads, tokens allocated during the Initial Offering are subject to a lock-up period, which restricts supporters from utilizing their tokens immediately. This presents a stark paradox. The whole idea of a Initial Offering is to distribute tokens — which represent service rights — to the project's initial user base, but due to lock-ups, these early supporters are unable to exercise their rights.

This issue is especially problematic for gaming projects where acquiring game tokens via an Initial Offering can be seen as an early access privilege. Supporters should ideally be able to engage with the game content swiftly and with ease, reaping the benefits of their early backing. However, due to lock-up conditions, they face a less than ideal user experience, having to wait out the lock-up period before they can truly enjoy the game.

However, the lock-up condition is a necessary evil. It's a defensive measure against those participants who join a Launchpad for speculative gains rather than genuine support for the project. If these participants acquire tokens and immediately sell them off without engaging with the game, it can hamper the project's early stage operations.

So, we're left with a paradox: projects needing early user engagement yet having to impose lock-up conditions as a safeguard. How do we solve this pain point?

### The Solution: Iskra Launchpad

Iskra Launchpad emerges as a compelling answer to the prevalent lock-up dilemma, which poses a significant challenge particularly for game projects and their players. With Iskra Launchpad, we transform the launchpad landscape, liberating both game studios and gamers from the constraints of the lock-up issue. Our launchpad empowers game studios to assure their early supporters of game usage rights, while at the same time, it allows gamers to fully immerse themselves in captivating content without restriction. This transformative approach redefines the traditional launchpad model, ensuring a more optimal and engaging experience for all parties involved.

# Iskra Launchpad 1.0

The First Vertical Launchpad in WEB3

### The Concept of Vertical Launchpad

Surprisingly, the solution to the lock-up dilemma is relatively straightforward – allow the locked-up tokens to be used within the project's services. This way, projects can always ensure their actual users have service usage rights, regardless of any lock-up conditions. Why hasn't such a simple solution been implemented yet?

The reason lies in the inherent limitations of the traditional launchpad's service model, which is the Horizontal Launchpad and its operational focus. These services have concentrated primarily on the Initial Offering aspect, disregarding post-Initial Offering user experiences. Their operational model has been characterized by a continuous cycle of conducting Initial Offerings for numerous new projects, leaving little consideration for what comes next.

In contrast, Iskra perceives the Initial Offering not as a destination but as the commencement of a journey. More than just introducing new projects to the community through Initial Offerings, Iskra, as an End-to-End Gaming Platform, encompasses the entire WEB3 gaming cycle, including not only the Initial Offering but also the sale of diverse content, gameplay, and reward experiences.

Iskra Launchpad, the starting point of this gaming journey, is a Vertical Launchpad. It supports the seamless transition of game tokens distributed through the launchpad to the user experience post-Initial Offering. This innovative launchpad concept, being unveiled for the first time on WEB3, delivers this remarkable experience exclusively to the Iskra community. Crucially, Iskra's Vertical Launchpad model allows for the use of locked-up tokens within the project's services. It solves the prevalent lock-up dilemma, ensuring that early supporters can fully exercise their rights from the outset. This greatly enhances the overall user experience and strengthens the bond between the project and its community.

In essence, the vertical orientation of Iskra's Launchpad enables the application of this straightforward solution to the lock-up dilemma. It demonstrates the benefits of a more comprehensive approach to Launchpad design, focusing not only on the Initial Offering but also on the crucial post-offering user journey. In doing so, it creates an environment that is more favorable to both project developers and early supporters.

### Why Vertical Launchpad?: Advantages over Horizontal Launchpads

The superiority of a Vertical Launchpad becomes evident when contrasting its encompassing approach with the narrower scope of a Horizontal Launchpad.

At their core, Launchpads draw in individuals seeking pioneering projects and desiring to partake in their transformative journeys. Likewise, these innovative projects view Launchpads as venues to connect with early supporters who can appreciate their distinct value.

However, Horizontal Launchpads frequently struggle to match the platform's incentives with the needs of both supporters and projects. The real interests of supporters and projects extend beyond the Initial Offering. Yet, a Horizontal Launchpad emphasizes mainly on this initial stage, moving swiftly to the next project once the Initial Offering concludes. This quick transition leaves projects facing the challenging post-Initial Offering phases without adequate support, resulting in a gap between all the parties involved.

On the other hand, a Vertical Launchpad harmonizes the interests of the supporters, projects, and the Launchpad itself. It treats the Initial Offering as the commencement of a journey, assuring a smooth transition throughout the subsequent stages. By carefully curating competent projects and providing comprehensive support, it mitigates the risk of projects stagnating prematurely.

This emphasis on the complete journey, rather than just the Initial Offering, establishes a superior and more engaging service infrastructure. It sets up a virtuous cycle, continuously introducing exceptional projects, encouraging dedicated supporters, and surfacing more quality projects.

In summary, a Vertical Launchpad provides a thorough, efficient solution, aligning the interests of all parties, guaranteeing seamless user journeys, and championing quality projects. By adopting this approach, the launchpad ecosystem can foster a robust environment conducive to the growth of outstanding projects and committed supporters, thus paving the way for enduring success.

### **Advantages of Iskra: Unlocking the Full Potential of Vertical Launchpad**

#### 3.1. No Lock-up: Express Token

Express Tokens serve as a key feature in providing a seamless transition from Initial Offering to subsequent user experiences on the Iskra Launchpad. These tokens act like "express tickets," allowing supporters to gain immediate access to relevant game content, bypassing the typical lock-up periods.

When supporters are allocated game tokens on the Iskra Launchpad, they also receive an equivalent number of Express Tokens (expTOKENs). These tokens can be used straight away, enabling supporters to dive into their chosen games without delay. However, if supporters prefer, they can retain their expTOKENs, subsequently trading them in for game tokens according to the lock-up conditions.

By introducing Express Tokens, Iskra Launchpad gives supporters more control over their choices, providing them the flexibility to dictate their interaction with the games, rather than being strictly bound by time.

Note: Depending on the service level of the game studio, there may be instances where exp tokens cannot be used.

#### 3.2. Not Sale: Promotion

The traditional approach on Horizontal Launchpads has been to treat Initial Offerings as a method of fundraising, often resulting in projects attempting to sell tokens to supporters at the highest possible price. This can sometimes lead to less-than-ideal experiences for supporters.

Contrary to this traditional approach, at Iskra Launchpad, we interpret the Initial Offering in a fundamentally different way. For us, it isn't about fundraising, but rather, it's about the successful launch and long-term sustainability of enjoyable and robust WEB3 games. This shift in perspective redefines both the purpose of our Launchpad and the concept of the Initial Offering.

The Iskra Launchpad serves as a promotional platform for game studios looking to make their debut on the Iskra platform. In this setting, the Initial Offering is a token launch event – not a token sale or a fundraising mechanism. Iskra Launchpad and the onboarded game studios aim to launch successful WEB3 games and cultivate a lively, sustainable gaming ecosystem alongside our passionate supporters. This means supporters no longer have to play a guessing game with either the Launchpad or the project that is initiating the Initial Offering. It's not a sale – it's a promotion.

The Future of Iskra Launchpad: From Vertical to Mixed

### Upgrading to a Mixed Launchpad

The amazing Vertical Launchpad we've introduced so far is just the beginning. Iskra Launchpad has the potential to evolve even further.

Picture this: the exciting user experience created by the Vertical Launchpad isn't confined to just one game. Instead, it leaps across boundaries, connecting multiple games together. This revolutionary idea forms the basis of our next ambitious move - the Mixed Launchpad.

When a player's journey through the Launchpad extends not just through the gaming cycle(Vertical) of one game but reaches out into multiple games(Horizontal), that's the moment the Iskra Launchpad evolves into a Mixed Launchpad.

With the Mixed Launchpad, the Iskra Launchpad transforms from a platform that launches and promotes individual games into a Cross-game Marketing Service that goes beyond.

To better illustrate how the Mixed Launchpad works as a cross-game Marketing Service, let's consider an example.

Imagine there's Game A. Game A had a successful Initial Offering and boasts a dedicated and loyal player base. Any game studio would love to engage these committed players in their own games. So, they might devise strategies to lure these players to their content.

* ⓐ→ⓔ : Game B might airdrop reward tokens from their game to users who hold Game A’s expTOKEN.
* ⓐ→ⓕ : Game C could use Game A's expTOKEN in their own game environment to entice players to try their game.
* ⓐ→ⓖ : Game C might accept Game A's expTOKEN as a payment method for their own in-game items.
* ⓐ→ⓗ : Game D could provide whitelist for initial offering or various benefits to users who hold Game A's expTOKEN.

In this structure, what benefits does Game A gain? \
As other games mention and provide benefits related to Game A within their own game environments, Game A's reputation and value will increase indirectly. The exposure to a wider player base through cross-marketing efforts will promote Game A to a larger audience, potentially leading to increased royalties and revenue as gamers holding Game A tokens enjoy various perks and advantages. In essence, this structure creates a beneficial scenario where all game studios involved in the marketing efforts can benefit.

These cross-marketing strategies can either take place through mutual agreement between game studios or can happen organically. The examples given above are just a handful of possibilities. As more successful Initial Offerings take place, the Iskra platform will witness a surge in advanced cross-game marketing instances with diverse games interacting. This means the more successful the Launchpad becomes, the richer and more vibrant the gaming ecosystem will grow - with Iskra Launchpad spearheading the evolution.

# Decentralized Exchange(DEX)

### **What is DEX?**

DEX is a decentralized exchange service provided by Iskra, where you can exchange game tokens for $ISK or other tokens, and vice versa.

### **Token Exchange**

On Iskra DEX, all game tokens supported by Iskra platform can be traded. Because the Iskra Hub chain is like the IBC (Inter-Blockchain Communication) chain of the Cosmos in our ecosystem, DEX is a core service of our platform. DEX is where you can purchase game assets, swap them for assets of another game, or monetize them. Like most DEXs, Iskra DEX charges swap fees, which will be shared with the liquidity providers and the community in accordance with the community reward policy.

### **Liquidity Pools**

Iskra DEX supports AMM-based decentralized exchanges. To this end, There are liquidity pools of exchangeable token pairs. Anyone can participate as a liquidity provider(LP) by supplying these token pairs to the liquidity pool. The role of liquidity providers in DEX is very important because low liquidity can cause rapid fluctuations in token value. Therefore, Iskra will reward liquidity providers with an 83.33% of all DEX swap fees and high level of Contribution Points(CPs) compared to other platform activities to incentivize community members to supply liquidity. In addition to this, game studios that list game tokens on the Iskra DEX also are going to provide various benefits such as game assets to liquidity providers to maintain sufficient liquidity.

*Note: Implementation schedule, technical details are subject to change. Please refer to the latest Roadmap and check back for updates.*

# NFT Marketplace

### **What is NFT Marketplace?**

NFT Marketplace consists of two markets: (i) Primary Market, where game NFTs are initially offered by game studios, and (ii) Secondary Market, where gamers can freely trade NFT assets, such as in-game items.

### **Primary Market**

Primary Market supports the sale of different types of NFT assets developed by different game studios. These assets can be purchased with $ISK, or other tokens specific to each game studios. NFT-minted game assets include characters, weapons, virtual lands and much more. Only those in-game assets essential to the gameplay will be qualified for listing and offering. In the beginning, we will evaluate whether an asset meets the registration requirements, but going forward, our community will be empowered to launch a quality control team to autonomously operate and manage the marketplace. Transactions are subject to sales charges, and fees from the market operation will be distributed to the community in accordance with the community reward policy.

### **Secondary Market**

Secondary Market allows gamers to buy and sell in-game asset NFTs which include characters, weapons, virtual lands, and much more. Assets can be traded in $ISK or other tokens specific to each game studio. The user-to-user transaction policy may vary by game studio and by game. Transactions between users are subject to trading fees, which include platform fees and game studios’ royalty fees. Platform fees will be distributed to the community in accordance with the community reward policy.

# Bridge

### **What is Bridge?**

Iskra Bridge is a bridge between Iskra Hub Chain, side chains for games, and external blockchains. Because most of our games will run on game chains, a secure and trustless bridge that connects different blockchains is the most critical component of our ecosystem.

### **Bridge for ISKRA Games**

Iskra Bridge connects gamers and games running on different chains. Gamers are allowed to freely transfer game assets that they hold between different game chains or between a specific chain and Iskra Hub Chain. Bridging with internal chains of our ecosystem will be subject to fees, which will be distributed to the community in accordance with the community reward policy.

### **Bridge to External Chains**

Iskra Bridge also supports bridging with other blockchains outside our ecosystem, ensuring connectivity. It allows users to transfer all types of tokens supported by Iskra Hub Chain to selected external blockchains. Starting with Klaytn and Ethereum in the beginning, connections with a wider range of external blockchains will be supported going forward. Bridging with external chains of our ecosystem will be subject to fees, which will be distributed to the community in accordance with the community reward policy.

# Community System

![](/files/hTqXQ7m0b6UNX59tEofC)

### **Overview**

A gaming community plays a pivotal role in the growth of any gaming platform throughout user interactions. Nevertheless, this role has traditionally been limited to being passive consumers and they have not been properly compensated for their contribution to the platform’s growth. To address this, we aim to create a brand-new gaming ecosystem where our community members are rewarded in proportion to the contributions they make.

### **Iskra Community**

Our community is a place where Iskra, game studios, and gamers as stakeholders transparently participate and share proceeds from the operation of the platform. Anyone who participates in Iskra Platform can be a member of the community and earn rewards in proportion to their contribution. We view the following groups as potential stakeholders in our community:

* A service Provider (such as Iskra, Game studio) who provides platform or game services
* A Pioneer who provides computing power to the Iskra platform by operating nodes via Pioneer NFT
* A Explorer who has an Iskra account and uses various entertainment services in the Iskra ecosystem

**Note:** The detailed policies regarding the community system outlined in this white paper are subject to change. Finalized policies will be determined and publicly disclosed following governance voting upon the conclusion of the beta period. Stakeholders and participants are encouraged to stay informed and participate in the governance process to shape the direction and policies of the platform.

# Contribution Point(CP)

### **Contribution Point**

The amount of Contribution Point(CP) that an Iskra user receives reflects the contribution they have made to the platform. CP works as a key indicator in determining the level of rewards a community member receives. Because CP is calculated using on-chain data, the information on the methods used for the calculation and the results are transparently available to all members of the community. CP can be gained by:

* Contribution to Platform Growth :
  * Platform Service Usage : When using Iskra’s native platform services (Swap, Bridge, Marketplace, etc.), CP is earned in proportion to the service fee paid.
* Contribution to Ecosystem Growth :
  * Settler NFT staking : When staking or operating network node through SNFT, CP is earned in proportion to the node point\* obtained.\
\*Currently, 1 Node Point per 1 SNFT staked, and 60,000 CPs per 1 Node Point.
  * $ISK Governance staking : When staking $ISK to the Iskra governance, CP is earned in proportion to the sISK(staked $ISK)\* obtained.\
    \*Currently, 1 CP per 1 sISK.
* Additional activities to earn CP may be updated in accordance with the platform roadmap.

**Note:** *Details of Contribution Point policy are subject to change*

# Community Tier System

### Community Ranking

We operate a community ranking system to provide fair compensation to all community members. All members can receive Contribution Point (CP) according to their contribution to the platform, and the community ranking is determined in the order of high cumulative CP. The more CP you get, the more community rewards you receive. Since all CP is managed through decentralized on-chain data, community rewards are distributed and tracked transparently.

### **Community Tier**

Under our Community Ranking System, all members that have CP will be categorized into one of the five Tiers, beginning with "Iron" rising up to "Diamond." Ranking is based on CP accrued by each member in the previous season. A Tier is valid for one season and is reset at the start of the following season.

Below is the Tier allocations:

Tier

Allocation

Minimum Requirement

Diamond

top 0.02% of the community ranking

(maximum cap of 1,000 users)

1 Settler NFT staked

Gold

the next 0.2% of the community ranking
(maximum cap of 10,000 users)

1 Settler NFT staked

Silver

the next 2% of the community ranking

(maximum cap of 100,000 users)

Bronze

the next 20% of the community ranking
(maximum cap of 1,000,000 users)

Iron

the rest of the users that have more than 3 CP

**Note:** *Details of community tier allocation and minimum requirement rules are subject to change after the Community Tier System Beta*

### **Tier-Up and Tier Placement Ticket**

To provide even more opportunities and benefits to community members, all active users will be entitled to claim either a Tier-Up Ticket or a Tier Placement Ticket. Upon logging into the platform and completing a certain activity, users will have the opportunity to receive a random Tier-Up Ticket or Tier Placement Ticket, depending on their current status. If you have a winning ticket, you will be automatically moved to the next higher Tier and enjoy its benefits. Depending on your current status, one of the following tickets will be provided:

* Tier-Up Ticket
  * Gold Ticket: A chance to immediately advance to the Gold Tier, dropped to the Silver Tier only.
  * Silver Ticket: A chance to immediately advance to the Silver Tier, dropped to the Bronze Tier only.
  * Bronze Ticket: A chance to immediately advance to the Bronze Tier, dropped to the Iron Tier only.
* Tier Placement Ticket
  * Tier Placement Ticket: A chance to immediately be included in the Community Tier system starting with Iron Tier, dropped to No-Tier users only.

# Community Rewards

Community Rewards are designed to reward each member of the community based on their contribution to the platform. The higher your Contribution Points are, the higher Tier and more rewards you are guaranteed.

#### Tokenized Benefits

* **Platform Rewards:** Platform service fees are distributed to the tiered members of the community, gradually giving back all of the platform service fees to the contributors. The platform service fees will be reserved in Platform Rewards Pool for a certain period of time and will be distributed at the end of the season in following two ways:
  * **Tier-based:** 40% of Platform Reward Pool is equally distributed to each Community Tier.
  * **CP-based:** 60% of Community Reward Pool is differentially distributed according to the CP share (my CP / Total CP).
* **Quest Rewards:** Game assets are distributed to users who complete specific in-game quests, designed specifically by onboarding games. This also acts as a marketing opportunity for games launched on the Iskra platform. A higher tier and/or CP will offer you with more tokens and NFTs and/or higher chance of winning.

**Platform Service Privilege**

* **Service Benefits:** Benefits for existing and upcoming services are enhanced based on tier and/or CP
  * **Launchpad Privilege:** When participating in a project on the Iskra Launchpad, the higher tier and/or Contribution Point you have, the higher limit cap and higher chances in purchasing tokens.
  * **INO(Initial NFT Offering) Privilege:** When participating in the Iskra Market, the higher tier and/or Contribution Point you have, the higher chance of being whitelisted.
* **Event Benefits:** More opportunities and privileges to be provided to tiered-members to participate in various events hosted by Iskra and game developers. This could include CBT, game launch promotion, random airdrop events etc.
  * **Game Early Access:** When new games are launched on the Iskra platform, The higher Contribution Point you have, the higher the chances of getting early access to the new game launched.

**Community Rewards during Beta phase**

In order to ensure the effectiveness of the Community Tier System, which is integral to Iskra's tokenomics, a thorough methodology is employed to determine users who will participate in sharing Iskra's platform revenue. Community Tier System Beta have been introduced to refine and optimize the system.

During the Beta phase, the Platform Rewards will be exclusively granted to tiered members with Settler NFT. The entire Platform Rewards Pool will be allocated for members who have staked the Settler NFT, and each member will receive Platform Rewards according to their CP share (my CP / Total CP of the Settler NFT stakers).

Additionally, other benefits such as Quest Rewards, Service Benefits and Event Benefits can primarily be extended to the Settler NFT stakers.

**Note:** *Details of the Community Rewards policy are subject to change*

### **Platform Rewards Pool**

![Platform Fee Distribution Plan](/files/DivWCrK0CW8VSfdcsnEy)

The Platform Rewards Pool is where we reserve a portion of the tokens collected as platform fees to provide funds for community rewards. As the platform moves on to the next phase of service, the rate of reservation will increase as follows:

* Phase I : Iskra Original - Reserve 75% of the platform fees after token burn\*
* Phase II : Open Platform - Reserve 87.5% of the platform fees after token burn\*
* Phase III : Community-Owned Platform - Reserve 100% of the platform fees after token burn\*

\*fees excluding the volume of token burning, which is 20% of total platform fees

**Note:** *The specific schedule for each phase is subject to change*

# Vision for a Community-Owned Gaming Platform

### The Future: A **Community-Owned Gaming Platform**

The ultimate goal for Iskra is an autonomous gaming platform, wholly owned and governed by the community. In the early stages of the platform, Iskra will have some key roles to play in order to ensure a stable service delivery and roll out. However, we envision these roles and authority as the platform operator to diminish over time to zero in a phased manner, as the community grows and the platform achieves a higher level of decentralization. Eventually, we want to participate as an autonomous community member just like everyone else in the decentralized future.

![](/files/EduzX9vZf0hoMQfAQde6)

### **Phases of Decentralization**

**Phase I – ISKRA Original:**

* Games to be published: Projects sourced by Iskra Team by leveraging its developer network
* Decision-making process: Iskra Team
* Percentage of collected platform fees allocated to Iskra Team: 20%

**Phase II – Open Platform:**

* Games to be published: A mix of sourced and curated Iskra Team projects **and** a growing percentage of game studio submissions that are in compliance with the Iskra policies
* Decision-making process: A mix of Iskra Team recommendations, approvals **and** governance proposal and voting
* Percentage of collected platform fees allocated to Iskra Team: 10%

**Phase III – Community-Owned Platform:**

* Games to be published: All new projects will be submitted by game studios in compliance with Iskra policies
* Decision-making process: Fully led by community governance proposal and voting
* Percentage of collected platform fees allocated to Iskra Team: 0%

**Note:** *The specific schedule and details for each phase are subject to change*

### **What Happens to Team Iskra in Phase III and onwards?**

We eventually want to act only as an autonomous community member in the same way as other stakeholders. Iskra will no longer collect a separate share of platform fee allocations at this Phase.

# Token Economy

### **Overview**

The Iskra platform can be viewed as a "Hub" that is designed to support a variety of blockchain games. Many of our partner's games will be published on their own game chain(which will be a side chain of Iskra Hub chain), and all these game assets will be interconnected through the Iskra platform. As a Hub that connects multiple gaming ecosystems, Iskra helps its community members trade and exchange a wide array of in-game assets. There are three types of native tokens to support the Iskra ecosystem:

* **ISK**: Native and Governance token of the Iskra ecosystem
* **Settler NFT**: Non-fungible token which provides holders the right to participate in the Iskra ecosystem as a node operator

# ISK

### **What is $ISK?**

$ISK is used for all types of services provided within the Iskra ecosystem. $ISK has two key utilities:

* Governance token: Holders are entitled to propose and vote on initiatives that govern the Iskra platform.
* Key currency: $ISK serves all purposes in the Iskra platform. It can be exchanged with other assets and can be used as a form of payment and charges for a variety of other services in the Iskra ecosystem.

### Iskra Governance(Iskra DAO)

Iskra has a vision to become a decentralized platform operated by a Decentralized Organization (Iskra DAO). The only way to participate in the Iskra DAO is to obtain governance rights ($sISK) through staking $ISK to the Governance Staking.

When you join the Iskra DAO, you will receive all of the following benefits :

* The Right to participate in governance proposals and voting: entitled to propose and vote on the Iskra platform’s operation policies
* $ISK : rewarded with 20% of all $ISK in accordance with the Distribution Plan as described in the next section
* Contribution Points: rewarded according to the amount of $sISK held based on a defined formula

### Governance Staking Reward Structure

$sISK plays key role in the Iskra Governance. Only $sISK holders can participate in the Iskra DAO and receive governance power, $ISK rewards, CP, and other rewards. Each $sISK represents 1 voting power and 1 contribution point, and also grants the holder the right to receive corresponding $ISK rewards. $sISK can be obtained by staking $ISK in the Governance staking. However, as $sISK is a yield-bearing token, its value will constantly increase as long as yield is generated. This means that the amount of $ISK required to obtain 1 $sISK will continue to increase over time.

The mechanism for this is as follows:

At the beginning, $ISK and $sISK form a pool in a 1:1 ratio in the Governance Staking Contract. At this point, you can obtain 1 $sISK for every 1 $ISK.

Now, the staking rewards begin. 20% of the total $ISK are distributed as compound interest through the Governance staking contract every second for 20 years. As the $ISK rewards are distributed, the number of $ISK in the $ISK-$sISK pool will gradually increase, and the value of $sISK will increase as well. \
For example, if the ratio of $ISK to $sISK becomes 1:0.8, the 1 $sISK that you initially obtained with 1 $ISK is now worth $1.25 ISK.

The Governance staking rewards will continue for 20 years, so the value of $sISK will also increase steadily over that time. As time goes on, it will take more $ISK to obtain 1 $sISK. Therefore, it is best to acquire $sISK in a rapid manner and to hold it for as long as possible if you want to maintain Governance Power in the Iskra DAO.

# Settler NFT

### **What is Settler NFT?**

As part of the Pioneer Stage's conclusion, Pioneer NFTs have been converted to Settler NFTs\*. Each Settler NFT gives its holder the right to become a node operator on the ISKRA platform. Nodes provide a steady stream of computing power for the ISKRA blockchain network, making it a decentralized, stable, and trustless system. Settler NFT holders are rewarded with $ISK tokens and CPs in return for operating a node or delegating their NFT to other operators\*\*.

### **Settler NFT Rewards**

Settler NFT holders will be entitled to the following rewards:

* $ISK: rewarded with $ISK tokens in accordance with the Distribution Plan as described earlier in this document.
* CPs: rewarded with CPs based on a defined formula.

### **Total Supply and Distribution Plan**

* Total Supply: 10,000 SNFT
* Distribution Plan: A total of 10,000 Pioneer NFTs have been converted to Settler NFTs and distributed to the existing Pioneer NFT holders

\*In accordance with the governance vote, the PNFT sale was discontinued, and the Total Supply was set at 10,000. Upon the 1:1 conversion to SNFT, all restrictions on PNFTs were removed.

\*\*Until the official launch of the ISKRA Chain, the NFT rights will be delegated to ISKRA by default.
